Cubierta por bosques y pantanos, poco poblada región histórica en la parte sureña de la cuenca del río Prípyat. Gracias a las condiciones naturales y bajo nivel de urbanización aquí se preservaron magníficamente los elementos de la cultura tradicional y artes populares. Por ejemplo, el bórtnytstvo o colección de miel salvaje. En el lugar de espacios libres y caserías abandonadas surgen ecofincas y caserías de artes.

“Duga” Radar

“Duga” is the last still-standing object of the USSR nuclear shield, known in the western mass media as “Russian Woodpecker”. The Korostyshiv canyon is an abandoned granite quarry in Polissia, that turned into a deep lake, surrounded by rocks. Pines, fur-trees, and birches grow on top of rocks and create fanciful landscapes.
