While residents in western Ukraine learn to use AK-47 Kalashnikov rifles and Kyiv nightclubs become shelters, Russian troops demolished one of the capital’s largest shopping malls, a Russian rocket fell in the middle of a cemetery in Mykolaiv but did not explode, and 45,000 people managed to evacuate from Mariupol in 6 days. To save their own lives, the last international journalists left the city with them.
