Borzhava narrow-gauge railway is one of few 750 millimeters track railways still operating in Ukraine. Its route goes through Vynohradiv-Khmilnyk-Irshava and covers 123 km. The line goes along the river Borzhava that gives its name to the railway. The two-carriage train goes across Vynohradiv farmers' market and takes the passengers around Zakarpattia. The maximum speed is 15 km/hr, which allows you to enjoy the landscapes.
A hundred years ago, these days, the Russian army was unfolding a massive advance on Ukraine. Ukrainian army was not prepared for that, a heavy battle took place near Kruty.
