Region

Volyn is a historical region in the northwestern area of Ukraine, in the basins of the Prypiat and Zahidnyi Buh rivers, bordering Poland in the west. Thousands of cultural heritage sites from different eras have been preserved here, including the Lubart Castle, the Ostroh Academy, the Tarakaniv Fort, and the Kremenets Castle. The largest cities of the region are Lutsk and Rivne. This region is famous for its focus on education, museums, and contemporary art development.
